We are delighted to offer you a glimpse into the activities and talents of the wonderful pupils at Coronea National School. We are extremely proud of our close-knit school community and invite you to browse our website to learn more.
Coronea N.S. is nestled in the heart of the Cavan countryside, in Cornafean, within the Diocese of Kilmore. Our school, built in 1927, currently has 14 pupils, split between two classrooms. We are a school of Catholic Ethos, which is reflected throughout our daily routines and school life.
We are committed to promoting high standards of learning for all our pupils. This includes not only the acquisition of skills, knowledge, and understanding, but also the development of positive attitudes, wellbeing and self-esteem. Our aim is to help each child grow into a responsible, confident young adult—carrying with them many happy, fond memories of their time at Coronea N.S.
The staff at Coronea N.S. are dedicated to fostering a happy and thriving school environment, where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential in a holistic way—through hard work, mutual respect, and, of course, plenty of fun!
