Coronea N.S. Wellbeing Committee

Our second meeting took place on Tuesday 11th November. We had lots to discuss. Firstly, we planned what events would take place on our monthly ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’. We have planned a morning mediation session, a mid-morning whole school walk, music for lunch time and most importantly, wellbeing homework!  We created a poster to help everyone decide on what they might do for homework. We also created some motivational posters for everyone to promote positivity in the school!

Our school celebrated our first Wellbeing Wednesday on November 19th with a range of thoughtful and enjoyable activities planned by the wellbeing committee. We started with a wellbeing walk that included a visit to the local graveyard to mark “In November, we remember,” giving everyone a quiet moment of reflection. We also created a gratitude jar and filled it with things we’re thankful for, and continued our day with a calming five-minute meditation to set a positive tone for the day. Finally, our Senior Room left surprise positive messages for our Junior Room outside to inspire them everyday!  For wellbeing homework, children were encouraged to relax and recharge by listening to music, watching a movie, going for a walk, playing games, or spending time on their favourite hobby. The children had so much fun, and it was a wonderful celebration of looking after our minds and bodies. Take a look!
