On Thursday 11th June we had our school tour to Causey Farm. From Junior Infants right through to 6th Class, the children had an action-packed day filled with fun, adventure, learning and plenty of opportunities to get involved. We were delighted to attend with our neighbours Corliss N.S.
Causey Junior Tour
Our Junior Infants, Senior Infants, 1st and 2nd Class children had a wonderful day exploring the farm. Their activities included:
- A tractor train ride around the farm
- Exploring the Mineshaft Tunnels
- Giant bubble blowing
- Giant dominoes
- The Laurel Maze and chalkboards
- A nature walk
- Meeting all the farm animals
There were lots of smiles and excitement as the children discovered the different areas of the farm and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
Causey Senior Tour
Our senior pupils had an equally exciting day, with the added challenge of the famous Causey bog! Their activities included:
- Giant bubble blowing
- Giant dominoes
- Meeting all the farm animals
- Exploring the Mineshaft Tunnels
- Taking the tractor and trailer to the bog challenge course
- Bog jumping
The bog challenge was certainly a highlight, with plenty of muddy clothes, laughter and memorable moments!
A fantastic day was had by all, and the children returned to school tired, happy and full of stories from their adventures. A huge thank you to Causey Farm for such a fun and memorable school tour!
